NOTICE OF DEATH - SEAN EDWARDS

It is with enormous regret that I have to inform you of the death of Sean Edwards, aged 26, yesterday in an accident at Queensland Raceway, Australia. Details of the accident are currently unclear but it is believed that Sean was instructing in a Porsche when the driver lost control. In addition to Sean’s death the driver is understood to be very seriously injured.

Sean was the son of Guy Edwards QGM who is, of course, a Life Member of this Club.

The Club is currently working hard on behalf of the family liaising with the Australian authorities and Guy has asked that we lead on this on their behalf. The President is in direct contact with Sean’s mother, Daphne, and all possible support has been offered to them both.

Sean was leading the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and sitting in 2nd place in the Gold Star this year.

Details of funeral arrangements will be notified to the Membership when they are known.
