NOTICE OF DEATH - JOHN STANDEN
It is with regret that the Club has to annouce the death of Associate Member, John Standen who passed away on Monday 9 September 2013.
John was an original member of Team Lotus, he became the first full-time employee although he had joined Colin Chapman’s Lotus Engineering Company as an unpaid and spare time enthusiast. John was associated with Lotus at Hornsey in the 1950s and became Purchasing Director for many years. He transferred to JCL Marine in 1973 where he remained until 1978.
The Club has only just been notified of John’s death and his funeral took place on Friday 4 October 2013 in Norwich.
The Club regrets to report on the death of Graham Eden, who was elected as a BRDC Member in 1996.
