SILVERSTONE ON COURSE FOR SELL OUT

Following one of the most open and exciting starts ever to a Formula 1™ season, which has seen a record-breaking six different drivers win the first six races, Silverstone has announced that fewer than 5,000 tickets remain for this year’s FORMULA 1™ SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX (06-08 July), with the event looking likely to sell out in advance.

A limited number of three-day tickets, which include all practice sessions, qualifying and race day, are still available for General Admission areas and Grandstands. Grandstands include ‘Farm Curve’, ‘Vale’, ‘Village’ and the new ‘Luffield Complex Grandstand’, which has been added in 2012 to accommodate high levels of demand. Three day General Admission tickets are extremely limited, with less than 100 available.

Just over 1,000 Grandstand tickets are also still available for race day only, with fans able to reserve seats at either ‘Vale’ or ‘Farm Curve’.

Richard Phillips, Managing Director of Silverstone Circuits Limited, said: “With just five weeks to go until the British Grand Prix, it’s looking likely that the event will sell out in advance. Having built new grandstands and increased General Admission areas we are now able to accommodate 125,000 on race day - 3,500 more than last year. There are only a limited number of three-day and race day tickets left, so we really would urge anyone planning on coming to Silverstone to book their tickets as soon as possible. It’s been an incredible start to the season – hopefully we’ll see a British driver win his home race and celebrating on the top step of the podium.”

Tickets for the 2012 FORMULA 1™ SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX are on sale 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Visit www.silverstone.co.uk or call 0844 3728 300.

Official 2012 F1™ hospitality is in high demand and availability is now limited, with many areas sold out on race day. For more information and updated availability call 0844 3728 230.
