NOTICE OF DEATH - JAMES NICOLL CUTHBERT

It is with regret that the Club has to announce the death of Nicoll Cuthbert who died suddenly on Friday 11 May 2012.

Nicoll was elected to the BRDC as an Associate Patron Member in May 1968.  He entered Eric Liddell and Bill Dryden in his Ford GT40 and Lotus Elan, respectively, in international events in 1966, 67 and 68, during which time they enjoyed some strong results.

Nicoll was a strong supporter of Scottish motor sport and a regular attendee at the BRDC Regional events North of the Border.  His wife, Mary, has expressly requested no flowers.  A small private funeral will take place on Friday 18 May.

We have just learned from Tim Schenken in Australia the sad news that Life Member Neil Crang died on the 20th July at the age of 70.
The Club Office has just learned that one of our oldest Members, Mike Oliver, died last Wednesday, 15th July. He was 99 years old and had been a Full Member since 1949.
As many Members may have already heard, Ron Tauranac passed away peacefully in his sleep on 17 July. He was 95 years of age and had been an Honorary Member of the BRDC since 1971.
