NOTICE OF DEATH - J T SUTHERLAND
It is with regret that the Club has to announce the death of Life Member J T 'Ian' Sutherland, who passed away on the 20th August.
Ian, who was elected to the BRDC in 1951, enjoyed success in sports car and 500 cc Formula 3 races in the early 1950s and finished second in the 1950 Gamston Trophy in Brian Shawe-Taylor’s ERA R8C. In the 1980s Ian returned to racing as a restorer/sponsor/owner of classic motor cycles.
Condolences have been passed to Ian’s wife and family. A private family funeral will be held this week.

The Club regrets to report of the death of Alaster Smith, who was elected as a BRDC Member in 1966.
