NOTICE OF DEATH - BILL BODDY MBE
It is with regret that the Club has to announce the death of Associate Member Bill Boddy, who passed away on 5 July 2011.
Bill wrote for Motor Sport for 81 years and edited the magazine between 1936 and 1991. He contributed a monthly column until his death. Bill was a founding Member of the Vintage Sports-Car Club, founded the Brooklands Society and was a co-founder of the 750 Motor Club. His history of Brooklands is considered the authoritive work on the circuit.
Bill was made an Associate Member of the BRDC in 2001.
A memorial service was held on 15 July at St Andrews Church, Presteigne at 2pm. Condolences have been passed to Bills daughter, Nondus.
