MEET AMABA FINALIST JOSEPH LOAKE

18-year-old Joseph Loake started competing at his local All Hallows’ and Macclesfield Kart Club, before racing in the National Schools Karting Association. There, he collected an impressive number of trophies, before graduating to Fiesta Junior in 2019, once he passed his ARDS test.

As a 14-year-old he recorded five podiums, before winning five of the final six races of the 2019 season, finishing second in the standings. Carrying on that form with a perfect year in 2020, where he won all eight races, Joseph made it 13 wins in 14 events across two seasons as he deservedly took home the championship title.

Before making his single seater debut in the F4 British Championship, he represented JHR Developments in the British F4 iRacing Trophy and turned heads on his full debut at Thruxton in 2021, qualifying on the front row for the final race of the weekend, where he took his maiden victory.

Ending his first season with three wins and five podiums, he competed in a partial F4 UAE campaign in 2022 before returning to British F4, where he took another four wins and nine podiums. Stepping up again this year, Joseph moved to the GB3 Championship and, finding the car better suited to his driving style, has four wins and remains in contention for the championship, sitting second in the standings.
