SILVERSTONE LAUNCHES FANS' THURSDAY

This year, Silverstone is celebrating a very special landmark in its history, as the 2014 FORMULA 1 SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX (04 – 06 July) marks the 50th Grand Prix to be held at the circuit. Forming part of the celebrations, for the first time ever Silverstone will be opening the Formula 1® Pit Lane to fans on the Thursday before the British Grand Prix.

This will be free to all fans holding a Three Day Ticket to the British Grand Prix. Fans can get closer than ever to their favourite teams with unprecedented access to the Pit Lane as the teams and drivers are in full preparation mode ahead of the Grand Prix weekend. There will be five Pit Lane Walkabouts over the course of the day. A limited number of tickets are available for each Walkabout and will be allocated on the day. Further details will be announced in due course. Tickets are not available in advance of the day.

Richard Phillips, Silverstone’s managing director said: “Our loyal fans are incredibly important to us and we are constantly looking at ways to give them an even better experience. The introduction of Fans’ Thursday is part of our plan to make our 50th celebrations really special”.

Tickets for the 2014 FORMULA 1 SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX are on sale 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Visit www.silverstone.co.uk for more information or call 0844 3728 300.
