FIA GT CHAMPIONSHIP

SILVERSTONE 18-20th 2008

This meeting kicks-off the Silverstone 'promoted' season, and plays host to the opening rounds of the FIA GT Championship and the FIA GT3 European Championship.

This three-day meeting starts on-track at 08.30 on Friday 18th.

Friday is a day of free practice and qualifying for all racing categories (except the FIA GT Championship cars), with further qualifying sessions and races taking place throughout Saturday and Sunday.

The FIA GT Championship race for GT1 and GT2 cars will last for two hoyrs, and is on Sunday. The winner will be presented with the famous Royal Automobile Club Tourist Trophy.

FIA GT3 Championship races take place on Saturday and Sunday.

The BRDC Clubhouse is closed on Friday and opens at 09.00 on Saturday and Sunday.

For those unable to attend, the Royal Automobile Club Tourist Trophy will broadcast live on ITV4 with coverage starting from 12pm.
