Career Description

John Hogg started racing in 1952 with an Allard J2X Chrysler V8 (MGF 850). He competed mainly in club events at Silverstone, Goodwood and Snetterton during 1952 and '53. He then purchased Leslie Johnson's C Type Jaguar (MPH 825) and raced this extensively in club meetings at Silverstone and Goodwood, and also at Davidstow, Aintree, Montlery and others.

He then joined the Fitzwilliam MGA team with three ex works cars. Also he raced these at UK club circuits depite the program being aimed at long distance continental racing. He completed the 1957 Mille Miglia (the last one). Furthermore he competed in the Nurburgring 1000km and the Rheims 12hr race, but did not finish at either.

The cars were sold at the end of 1957 and John did not race again after that.
