John Clelands Career Milestones:

  • 1979: Starts production saloon racing.
  • 1986: Thundersaloons with Vauxhall Senator, 1st in Championship.
  • 1987: Thundersaloons with Vauxhall Senator, 1st in Championship.
  • 1988: Thundersaloons with Vauxhall Senator, 1st in Championship.
  • 1989: BTCC with Vauxhall Astra - 11 class wins, 1st in Championship.
  • 1990: BTCC with Vauxhall Cavalier - 5th in Championship.
  • 1991: BTCC with Vauxhall Cavalier - 3 wins, 2nd in Championship.
  • 1992: BTCC with Vauxhall Cavalier - 3 wins, 3rd in Championship.
  • 1993: BTCC with Vauxhall Cavalier - 1 win, 4th  in Champoinship.
  • 1994: BTCC with Vauxhall Cavalier - 2 wins, 4th in Championship.

John began racing in 1971 competing in hill climbs, autocross and sprints. During his career he has competed in well over 400 races and still continues to race today.
