JIMMY STEWART

The Club is sorry to inform you of the death of Jimmy Stewart.

Born on 6th March 1931, Jimmy was 76.

Jimmy contested one Grand Prix, the 1953 British, at the wheel of a Cooper-Bristol, and it was that year in which he became a Full Member of the British Racing Drivers' Club.

He retired from motor racing following a sportscar crash at Silverstone in 1955.

A private family funeral will be held on Tuesday 8th January, with a thanksgiving service in Scotland hosted on a date to be arranged in February.

The family request no flowers, but donations to the BRDC Benevolent Fund. Please make cheques payable to the BRDC Benevolent Fund and send c/o the funeral directors.

John H Glen and Son, 51 Main Street, Alexandria, Dunbartonshire, G83 0DX

Tel: 01389 752778

The BRDC send its condolences to the Stewart family, and Jimmy's many friends.

Ends.
