ITV4 TO SCREEN SUNDAY'S RAC TOURIST TROPHY LIVE

ITV4 COMPLETES BEST-EVER FIA GT CHAMPIONSHIP TV COVERAGE!

With the announcement that British channel ITV4 will be showing the 2008 season of the FIA GT Championship, the FIA GT Championship is delighted to announce its best-ever TV line-up. Starting with the British round of the FIA GT Championship, the Royal Automobile Club Tourist Trophy, which takes place at leading British circuit Silverstone on April 19th - 20th, all the rounds of the 2008 season will be shown on ITV4 in either live or same-day delayed coverage,

The channel, available on satellite networks as well on cable and via Freeview, the digital terrestrial TV network, will show the full two-hour race on April 20th 2008, starting at 12:00 with the grid ceremonies. The programme can also be watched online at itv.com from within the UK.

Additionally, qualifying will be shown on cable and satellite channel Men & Motors, which will also show the two one-hour FIA GT3 European Championship races - the first on Saturday and the second on Sunday. A 52-minute highlights programme of the FIA GT Championship will be shown on Sky Sports, while the 26-minute highlights will be shown on Channel 4.

“This is an excellent opportunity for the FIA GT Championship,” commented Stephane Ratel, CEO of SRO, promoter of the FIA GT Championship and the FIA GT3 European Championship. “We hope that the ITV4 television spectators will enjoy the magnificent cars and fantastic, close racing and will enjoy following the Championship throughout what promises to be an exceptionally exciting season!”
