BRDC MEMBERS WIN LE MANS
BRDC Members Allan McNish and Tom Kristensen formed part of the winning line-up that triumphed in this weekend's Le Mans 24-Hour Race.
Joined by Italian Dindo Capello, the trio won the legendary endurance race by a narrow margin in their number 2 Audi R10 TDI, ahead of the hard-charging Peugeot 908 Hdi FAP of Marc Gene, Jacques Villeneuve and Nicolas Minassian.
For Allan, victory this weekend was his second at Le Mans - ten years after his first, but for Tom, it was his eighth - further increasing his incredible record at La Sarthe.
Aston Martin Racing, with BRDC Members Darren Turner and David Brabham, won the GT1 class with a Gulf-backed DBR9. The Aston, with Antonio Garcia completing the driver line-up, finished thirteenth overall.
An estimated 70,000 British fans made the trip across the Channel to watch the 2008 race.
