BOYD CONTINUES SUPER START AS A SUPERSTAR
17-year-old Wayne Boyd dominated rounds of the British Formula Ford Championship at Knockhill, Fife, this weekend - by winning all three races he took part in.
The Ulsterman, at the wheel of a Jamun Racing Services Mygale SJ08, was simply unstoppable as he calmly drove to victory in every round of the Formula Ford Championship to take place around the demanding Scottish circuit.
The BRDC Superstar weekend success was not limited to just Knockhill, with Mat Jackson throwing down the gauntlet at Rockingham to win the second of two BTCC races held at the Northamptonshire venue. Driving a BMW 320i, Jackson also scored a sixth-place finish in the opening BTCC race, and he heads to Donington Park for the next rounds of the series in just over two weeks time, only seven points behind reigning champion, and points leader, VXR Racing's Fabrizio Giovanardi.
Also in action at Rockingham were BRDC Superstars Riki Christodoulou and Jonathan Adam.
Christodoulou recorded seventh and third place finishes in his Fortec Motorsport-entered car in rounds of the Formula Renault Championship, while Jonathan Adam finished second and fourth in his two SEAT Cupra events.
On the international scene, BRDC Superstars Sam Bird and Jon Lancaster started their F3 Euro Series campaigns at Hockenheim in Germany, with Bird, driving for the Manor Motorsport team, finishing tenth and sixth in the opening two rounds of the season.
