Silverstone Interactive Museum

The Silverstone Interactive Museum is now open for visitors.  Seven years in the making, the state of the art facility sits in a World War Two RAF hangar at the main entrance to the site.

It offers 4,000m2 of exhibitions and visitor facilities, an active schools programme to engage the next generation into motorsport careers, and houses the archives of the British Racing Drivers’ Club and other motor sport collections, a specialist library, and research rooms.

The museum has been funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and local authorities and businesses in the area.  With support from the motor sport world, the Silverstone Interactive Museum is filled with engaging artefacts and objects that help tell the tale of motor sport at Silverstone in the most exciting way.

A skilled team have worked for years to bring to life many untold and inspiring stories to entertain our visitors. Opening our doors to the public means we move into the next chapter of our story, and we look forward to welcoming all our visitors – from school groups to families and life-long motorsport fans – as they enjoy the Silverstone Interactive Museum.

Special acknowledgement is given to the British Racing Drivers’ Club which has supported the project from the outset. In recognition, every BRDC Member can gain free entry to the museum with their primary guest – in perpetuity.  Any Members wanting to redeem this offer should login into the Members' Paddock of the BRDC website for more information.

See our website www.silverstonemuseum.co.uk for opening times and offers.

The Silverstone Interactive Museum is an exempt charity which receives no government funding – it is wholly reliant on ticket income and donations to survive.  Details of how you can support us are on our website. https://www.silverstonemuseum.co.uk/about-us/our-organisation/support-us/
