NOTICE OF DEATH - DENIS WELCH

It is with great regret that the Club has to announce the death of Member Denis Welch who died following a racing accident at the Silverstone Classic. Denis was a competitor in the HGPCA pre-66 Grand Prix Cars race yesterday, Sunday 27th July, driving a Lotus 18 (car number 19) and succumbed to his injuries later in the circuit’s Medical Centre.

The event organisers, the race organisation and the circuit’s medical and emergency services, will all now be co-operating with the Police and the MSA to conduct a full investigation.

The Club offers its sincere condolences and every support to Denis’s wife, Tina, and their family at this very sad time.

The Club has also received details of the arrangements for the funeral.

The service will be at 11am on Thursday 14 August 2014 at The Church of the Holy Angels, Hoar Cross, Staffordshire, DE13 8QR.
