NEW BRDC RISING STAR INTAKE FOR SPRING 2023

Following a recent phase of successful interviews which have been conducted in the BRDC Clubhouse over the last few weeks, we are delighted to announce the new intake of drivers who have been able to join the BRDC Rising Star Programme.  Their inclusion as BRDC Rising Stars follows-on from their selection at the end of the 2022 racing season by the Club’s panel of Rising Star Scouts.

With a maximum of 40 Rising Stars at any one time, places on the Programme are highly coveted.  Selections are not easy either, thanks to a reassuringly large pool of British and Commonwealth talent for the Club’s Scouts to choose from.  The chosen few are able to enjoy most of the benefits reserved for Full Members of the BRDC, as a preview to what their motor racing lifestyle will be like should they one-day achieve the qualification criteria for Full Membership.  With such privileged access to BRDC facilities at Silverstone Circuit, and the Club’s various other social events, it is hoped that all Rising Stars will capitalise on the unique networking opportunity offered by their association with the BRDC, and attract further support for their racing thanks to an enhancement of their profile which may occur as a result of the BRDC’s recognition of their talent.

The most recent intake of Rising Stars, and all other Rising Stars to date, have been recruited because there is a strong liklihood that their careers will continue on an upward projection which will hopefully allow them to meet the Club’s entry criteria in due course.  “There were some mightily impressive performances by these new Rising Stars last season, leading them to them being selected for the Programme, and their 2023 driving programmes sound fantastic.  It is great to see how confident they all are heading into the season, and we look forward to seeing what they will go on to achieve while they proudly wearing the Rising Star roundel” said Club Operations Executive, Luke Evans, who interviewed the new intake alongside former BRDC Director and Chairman of the Rising Star Scouts, Ian Titchmarsh.
