The BRDC Library and Archive
The BRDC Library and Archive is a unique collection that charts the history of the Club, its members, Silverstone Circuit and motorsport more widely. From the very beginnings of the Club to the present day the collection illustrates how the BRDC and its Members have been active throughout the history of motorsport and continue as ‘Champions of British Motorsport’ to this day.
The BRDC Archive contains a range of material from race programmes and results, photographs, race regulations and entry forms, books, journals, business records, trophies, paintings and other printed material such as dinner menus from the Club’s annual dinners.
Full-time Club Archivist, Stephanie Sykes, has taken on the challenge of developing the BRDC Library and Archive into an effective Club asset. The first key task is to implement a fully searchable catalogue of all items within the collection which is now well underway.
